PehlaPanna, Education Desk, Panipat : In a significant move to bridge the gap between academia and industry, Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology (PIET) and Liberty Shoes Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This collaboration aims to create opportunities for students to align with industry demands and excel based on their talents.Dr. Shakti Kumar, Director of PIET, shared that the BBA department hosted a comprehensive product analysis session during the event. Students presented in-depth analyses of 12 products under Liberty's Leap-7X brand. Each team, comprising four students, delved into the technical and market aspects of the products.The initiative was guided by Prof. Suresh K. Bedi, with additional insights from Dr. Rohit Garg, Head of the BBA Department, along with Prof. Sanjeev and Dr. Shashi Bala Rai. Dr. Shakti Kumar emphasized that such initiatives equip students with industry-relevant skills and expose them to real-world business scenarios.Chairman Hariom Tayal and Secretary Suresh Tayal of PIET highlighted that collaborations like these motivate students to understand how industries function and identify their contributions to them. Three teams emerged victorious, with prizes of ₹5,000, ₹3,000, and ₹2,000 being awarded to the first, second, and third-place winners, respectively.The MoU signifies a forward-thinking approach in education by fostering a robust connection between students and industry leaders. It reflects a shared commitment to nurturing talent and fostering innovation in product design and development.This collaboration is expected to serve as a model for academia-industry partnerships, preparing students for a competitive global market while driving innovation in product analysis.
